J.D. Salinger Dead At 91

The notoriously reclusive author of Catcher in the Rye, Nine Stories and Franny and Zooey died today at age 91. Catcher, although forbidden by Salinger to be adapted into a film after a disastrous experience with a production of his short story “Uncle Wiggily in Connecticut,” served as the informal basis for films like Igby Goes Down.
You gotta wonder if they’ll finally make the Catcher movie everyone’s wanted for years because of the juicy part of Holden Caulfield, from Brando in the 1950s to Jerry Lewis in the 1970s to Leo DiCaprio in the 1990s. You also gotta wonder just how bad it’ll be. I smell a Zac Efron vehicle…

While this topic can be very challenging for most people, my opinion is that there has to be a middle or common ground that we all can find. I do appreciate that you’ve added relevant and rational commentary here though. Very much thanks to you!
