Grammy Chic: Pop Princesses
Posted by chelseadavison , Feb, 2010 @ 3:39 pm
Recapping the beautiful, scandalous, and strange looks worn by the pop princesses at last night’s Grammy awards.
Lady Gaga is obviously our top priority when looking at red carpet madness. Why? She’s the queen of freaks and pushes the limits of fashion and pop in a glorious, empowering way. The 2010 Grammys were no exception to her costumed weird antics. Yeah Gaga, rock that shit out.
Beyonce’s Grammy style to be low cut, short-sleeved, tight dresses with weird shoulder pads. While I’m not a huge fan of the nude/gold combination, her sparking silver look is radiant. Although after Beyonce took home six awards, she was pretty much guaranteed to look good in anything.

Rihanna decided to become a Victorian Ice Queen for the 52nd Grammy Awards. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a cool dress, but I can’t help but think back to a dress on the last season of Project Runway that would have served a similar purpose.
Katy Perry, it looks like you glued sequins to the American Apparel nude dress in every hipster’s closet. Come on, I expected something vintage from you. Disappointing.
Pink looks cool, but I’m not sure exactly how I feel about the whole outfit. I know something seems a bit off, but I think that’s partly because of her hair/makeup/expression–the dress is very feminine and glamorous and she looks tough and as always, androgynous. I think her later, barely there, outfit for her performance was much more fitting.
Taylor Swift looks beautiful, though I’m pretty sure I can see an underwear line. I guess that’s expected though when wearing a skin-tight dress… you can even see the indent of her belly button. Still, lovely neckline and it really works with her skin and eyes.
I absolutely adore Carrie Underwood’s dress and simple, glamorous look. She is my pick (apart from Gaga of course) for best dressed of the evening.
Jennifer Hudson, I’m sure your hair and makeup look cute, but all I can stare at are your breasts. It’s a nice dress, fun silhouette, and black is a classy choice… but that chest is a diva in its own right.
I’m shocked to say I actually loved the way Miley Cyrus looked last night. Often I find her trying too hard to be sexy but I think her outfit last night was cool, and hot without trying to be. Although her hair and makeup still give me flashbacks to Lindsay Lohan.
Finally, Snooki, WHY WERE YOU AT THE GRAMMYS? Just because Lady Gaga is here this is not a club. Go back to Jersey, please.

Your purpose was spot on and owing to you; I most likely won’t need to detail each little thing to my buddies. I can just direct them right here.I cannot determine how to subscribe for the comments by means of feedburner. I want to hold on best of this, how can I achieve that?My website is Joliese Sunless Tanner

Thank you for the intelligent critique. Me and my neighbour were just preparing to do some research about this. I am very grateful to see such great information being shared freely out there.

Britney is brilliant and does not deserve any of the abuse she gets. There will constantly be pretenders but Britney will be around for keeps
